Mariana Martinez, a Venezuelan dancer and choreographer, was born in Miranda and began her training in contemporary dance, tap and flamenco at the age of 10 at the Raíces Danza choreographic art center under the direction of Rosalin Castellanos. She graduated in Public Accounting from the Catholic University Andrés Bello and continued to perfect her art in Spain with masters such as Los Farrucos, Manuela Carrasco, Juana Amaya and José Manuel “El Oruco”. In Seville, she studied at the Flamenco Art Foundation Cristina Heeren with a scholarship for the year 2012-2013, learning from figures like Milagros Menjibar and Pedro Sierra.

In her career, Mariana has stood out in competitions and festivals, achieving first place in the Villa Rosa Madrid flamenco dance competition in 2015 and second place in Las Carboneras Madrid in 2016. She has shared the stage with Chekara in Morocco and Spain, been part of the Israeli Flamenco Company Remangar and was a finalist in the Flamenco Puro flamenco dance competition in Turin. Currently, she resides in Barcelona where she runs Mariana Martinez Flamenco, offering classes, shows and events in both Spain and the United States and Latin America.

Highlighted as a guest artist at various events, Mariana has participated in international festivals such as the Flamenco Schools Usa Festival in Miami and collaborated in musical fusions such as "Ensemble" at Teatros Del Canal, Madrid. In addition, she has been a guest dancer and choreographer in multiple projects in both Europe and the United States. Her new project "Foránea", a fusion of Afrolatino and Flamenco, is in the process of premiering in Spain and international festivals.
