April at El Duende: award-winning artists and authentic flamenco in Barcelona
April arrives at El Duende by Tablao Cordobes with a carefully curated lineup featuring outstanding artists with recognized awards and international careers. Our flamenco bar Barcelona concept, located just off Las Ramblas, offers an intimate setting where you can experience the true essence of flamenco live in Barcelona.
Leading the program is Manuel Montes, a highly respected dancer with an international career across Europe and Asia. In 2023, he received the Outstanding Award for Best Solo Male Dancer at the Festival de Jerez, one of the most prestigious recognitions in flamenco. His elegance, precision, and deep understanding of rhythm make him a key figure in the best flamenco show in Barcelona.
Joining him is “Tete”, a powerful and charismatic performer who has worked in top tablaos across Spain and toured internationally in countries such as Japan, the United States, and France. His intensity and stage presence define what flamenco dance Barcelona is all about.
Marta Cañizares was awarded Best Female Dancer at Málaga Crea 2018. Since 2024, she has been part of Mercedes de Córdoba’s company, premiering the show “Olvidadas, a las sin sombrero” at the Seville Flamenco Biennial, one of the world’s leading flamenco festivals.
Zaira Prudencio had a breakthrough year in 2023, winning first prize in two tablao competitions in Madrid, at Centro Flamenco Cultural Madrid and Tablao Las Carboneras. Her performance stands out for its strength, personality, and authenticity.
The main lineup also includes Noemí and Lorena, both with experience in professional tablaos, alongside Sara Barrero, who has performed in flamenco productions across Europe, and Chino, known for his expressive and personal style developed in live flamenco stages.
Throughout the month, Sergio Barroso, Azahar Tortajada, Mathi, Mariana, Lola, and Montserrat will also take part, bringing freshness and diversity to the program.
