This May, El Duende presents a carefully curated program for those looking for a best flamenco show in Barcelona, where authenticity and artistic quality take center stage. Located just off Las Ramblas, this flamenco bar Barcelona offers an intimate setting where every performance is experienced up close, connecting audience and artists in a unique way.
Leading the lineup is Marta Cañizares, a dancer with remarkable projection. In 2018, she was awarded Best Dancer at Málaga Crea, and since 2024 she has been part of Mercedes de Córdoba’s company, performing Olvidadas, a las sin sombrero at the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla. Her evolution and stage presence position her among the most compelling figures in flamenco live Barcelona.
Alongside her, Carlos Velázquez brings a solid international career. Trained at the Real Conservatory of Madrid and the Amor de Dios dance school, he has performed as a soloist with renowned companies and appeared on stages across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Completing the main trio is Susana Sánchez, whose training began in Granada and took a major step forward in 2003 when she was selected for the Centro Flamenco de Estudios Escénicos led by Mario Maya. In February 2020, she won First Prize at the Concurso Flamenco Puro Turín de la Frontera in the Professional Soloist category, held במסגרת the Festival de Jerez. She has worked with leading figures such as Eva la Yerbabuena and performed in major venues including Expo 92 and theatres across Andalusia, consolidating a strong presence in flamenco dance Barcelona.
